God's purpose in the lives of His people is transformation. God is transforming our nature and character to look like Jesus. This summer we will  walk through the Mark's gospel as we follow the life of Peter. Peter is a great example of someone who walks in the footsteps of Jesus. Although a little rough around the edges, Peter is a bold, courageous, spontaneous man who surrenders his life to be shaped and transformed by the will of God. He offers a pattern and an example of what it means to walk with God. But more than an example on the page, Peter is a living, breathing testimony to the power of Jesus. This is what we want the campers to understand. Jesus can take anyone and make them shine with the light of His love, His grace, and His mercy.

SYC 1st Week Reunion ~ 50 campers and several staff members participated in SYC 1st Reunion Feb 5-7 in Irving, TX  Campers came from Pilot Point, Athens, Fort Worth, Keller, Whitewright, & Muenster. Part of the weekend was a service project. SYC picked up litter at Townley Elementary School across the street from So MacArthur Church of Christ.
